- BIBO crystal (BiB3O6) is one of the high-performance nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals, widely used in wavelength conversion and laser optical technologies.
Main Applications
- Second Harmonic Generation (SHG)
- Used to generate 532 nm (green) from the 1064 nm light of solid-state lasers (Nd:YAG or Nd:YVO4).
- Sum Frequency Generation (SFG) and Difference Frequency Generation (DFG)
- Particularly useful for generating tunable infrared light sources.
