Acid-nitrided aluminum powder (AlON)

Acid-nitrided aluminum (AlON) is a transparent optical ceramic powder with a particle size of D50~10μm. AlON is a transparent ceramic material represented by the chemical formula Al23O27N5 (or the approximate formula Al(64+x)/3O32xNx, x ≈ 2.5) and possesses a spinel-type structure. This material is a type of acid-nitrided aluminum (AlON) that combines the excellent properties of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and aluminum nitride (AlN).

Features

High Hardness and Strength:
Similar to aluminum oxide, but with superior thermal shock resistance and toughness.
High Melting Point:
≥2100°C, making it suitable for use in high-temperature environments.
Chemical Corrosion Resistance:
Suitable for use in mechanical components and optical windows under harsh conditions.
Crystal Structure:
Cubic spinel phase (Fd3m).
