Diffusion Bonded Crystal
Diffusion-bonded crystals consist of a structure made up of one laser crystal and one or two undoped materials. These crystals are bonded using the optical contact method and further fused at high temperatures. Diffusion-bonded crystals are effective in significantly reducing the thermal lensing effect. Two types of diffusion-bonded crystals are available: YVO4 + Nd:YVO4 + YVO4 and YAG + Nd:YAG + YAG.
